Gas or AEG?

Just curious which is more the standard for use in AWG, Gas guns, or AEGs?
And speaking for you guy's experience, which is better for airsoft games?

Ok here we go again....lol,

Since you are a new player to airsoft period, an AEG is the way to go because they are lees expensive and less finicky. They also have what we call mid caps which are the magazines that hold on average 120 rounds as apposed to gas guns that only hold 30 rounds and gas guns are usually more expensive and so are the mag's. An average gas mag will run you 45 bucks and for that same price if you get an M4 style AEG you can get 8 to 10 mags for that same 45 bucks.

I would never tell a new guy to the sport to get a gas gun unless we are talking a side arm and then yes by all means get a gas powered blow back side arm ie: 1911 0r 9mm.

agreed get a sewing machine and be done with it. You will have less frustration with it. pop a battery in and it jsut works. Later on you can dabble in gas guns for the "cool" factor. Right now you just want something that will get you out there and playing.

120?
I've been surfing around random sites, such as airsplat and a few others I can't think of off the bat.
But I've seen a lot of guns that hold up to 300 rounds, or even one that held 470, some where.

those are high cap mags, anything without a bb resevoir and a wheel is a midcap between 75-175 rounds with the average being 120 ish
